Teeth Rotting & Doesn't Want to Pay for Care

I need some advice. The dental company won’t fix my teeth unless I pay $50 a.month for a PPO. I have teeth rooting, all the roots are infected and I’m in constant pain and can barely eat. I need to get those snap on dentures because I don’t want to take them out of my mouth every night. I need to find an honest dentist who is willing to work with me on this.

I’m going to have to give you some tough love here that you probably don’t want to hear. If you’re not willing to pay $50 a month for the PPO insurance, you are not going to find the care you are looking for either. A snap-on denture will cost you thousands of dollars.

Most PPOs have free or discounted cleanings. Prevention is much less expensive than letting things grow worse. Repairing a cavity is cheaper than a filling, which is cheaper than a root canal treatment and crown, which is cheaper than an extraction and replacement.

If you don’t want to pay the money to have the teeth repaired. Your best option, if you’re not willing to pay for care, is to see a charity dental clinic. Bear in mind that they will only do the least expensive treatment. In your case, that is likely to be extracting all of your teeth and giving you removable dentures.

That will hold you for a while, but your jaw bone will slowly start to shrink as a result. After about ten or more years, there will no longer be enough bone left to keep your dentures in. This will lead to you only being able to eat soft foods.

I hope you’ll reconsider and get that PPO. You will have to pay some additional fees to get the teeth repaired, but it will be discounted from what you’d have to pay without it. Given the state of your teeth, I’m worried you’ll end up with a dental emergency.
