Zoom Whitening
Zoom Whitening gives advanced power tooth whitening in about an hour.
Advanced Power Zoom
The latest in effective tooth whitening is the Advanced Power Zoom system, which you do in the office. We recommend one visit. If you then take a bleaching tray to use at home after the appointment, you can make the whitening even more effective.
It is the peroxide in the Zoom gel that provides the whitening. This peroxide penetrates the tooth and releases oxygen inside the tooth, which breaks up stains and discolorations. After the treatment, your teeth will be permanently whiter.
Many people are tempted to try over-the-counter whitening products, and then when they are disappointed in how they work, they assume that tooth bleaching simply doesn’t work. But there is a vast difference between what you can get over the counter and this Advanced Power Zoom system. Some of those over-the-counter products will produce a little bit of temporary whitening. However, Zoom will not only remove the stains that have been embedded in your teeth over the years, but your teeth will be whiter than they have ever been. And dramatically so. There is no comparison.
The Zoom Whitening Procedure
To begin the Zoom procedure, your teeth have to be exposed and isolated. In order to accomplish this, retractors are placed to hold your lips back. | Next, a napkin is placed to protect your lips and a rubbery coating is placed on your gums. The Zoom gel is then applied to your teeth. This gel will gently penetrate the enamel and dentin of your teeth. |
Then, the Zoom! light is focused on your teeth. The light helps activate the gel which breaks up the discoloration and stains inside your teeth. During this time you can relax with “surround sound” in our Zoom room. | We go through three or four fifteen-minute sessions during this appointment to make your teeth dramatically whiter. After the appointment, it will help to use a bleaching tray at home. |
