Lafayette, LA Juvederm

beore and after Juvederm

Before and after lip enhancement.

Looking to smooth out facial wrinkles, creases, and folds? Juvederm is an FDA-approved, injectable dermal filler that works by adding volume and moisture to your skin. In Lafayette, LA, Camellia Dental is happy to provide Juvederm as a dermal filler option.

What Is Juvederm and How Does It Work?

Juvederm is made of hyaluronic acid gel, a naturally occurring substance in your body’s tissue that contributes to your skin’s volume and hydration. Hyaluronic acid can be thought of as the skin’s built-in moisturizer. However, as we age, this acid decreases. Juvederm is designed to smooth out wrinkles, creases, and folds by temporarily restoring hyaluronic acid to your skin, giving it renewed moisture and fullness.

At Camellia Dental, this procedure takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Results can be seen right away, and in most cases, will last for eight months up to a year.

What to Expect After a Juvederm Treatment

After receiving a Juvederm treatment, you should avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol consumption, and extended exposure to the sun or heat for at least 24 hours. Some patients will experience redness, tenderness, or bruising at the injection site, but these side effects are usually mild and will diminish within a week. In order to maintain the effectiveness of the Juvederm treatment, it will need to be repeated every eight to twelve months. For more information on injectable dermal fillers, visit our Botox page.

Would you like to find which option is best for you—Botox or Juvederm? Please give us a call or visit our request an appointment page, and we’ll call you.
