Even you have to admit it – your smile is gorgeous. It should be. You invested in your pearly whites, and now you want to frame them properly. And what better way to highlight your smile than with the perfect outfit.
Sometimes finding the right outfit is easier said than done. Those outfits that look flawless on models and mannequins don’t always look quite the same when you try them on. So how can you know if an outfit you see would actually look good on you? Here are five questions for finding your perfect outfit:
1 – Does the color of the outfit match my coloring?
Finding an outfit that looks good on you starts with identifying the colors that match your eyes, skin tone, and hair color.Take a look at the undertones of your skin. Are they warm or cool? Warm complexions have yellow undertones, while cool complexions have pink undertones.
The best colors for warm undertones are red, amber, gold, yellow, peach, coral, and orange. And the best for cool undertones are bright blues, emeralds, deep purples along with lavender, ice blue, or pink.
2 – Do I feel confident in this outfit?
When you feel confident it shows in your demeanor and smile. So picking the right outfit that makes you feel vibrant and good about yourself is important. Will you feel uncomfortable in it, always tugging at the outfit? Or will you feel the need to cover up part of it to hide some flaws? You want to project poise and assurance in what you wear, so choose an outfit that’s friendly to your body.
3 – Is the outfit in the right proportion to my body type?
Are you pear-shaped but trying to fit in an outfit made for an hourglass figure? Maybe you’re top-heavy trapped in a dressed designed for a smaller upper frame? Perhaps you’re a petite person trying to rock the long sweater look? You’ll never feel comfortable if the outfit doesn’t fit your frame.
Look for clothing that’s designed to fit your height, shape and frame. You’ll feel more comfortable and it will show in your attitude.
4 – Does it fit my personality and lifestyle?
Are you a creative personality? Then stuffy, professional clothing will leave you feeling trapped in someone else’s wardrobe. On the other hand, wearing casual clothing in a professional environment won’t help you exude credibility and confidence among your peers. Finding the type of clothing that fits who you are and how you live is vital for creating the perfect outfit.
5 – Does it fit my budget?
The outfit may look wonderful, but if the price doesn’t agree with your wallet, it can leave you in a bind. It’s not worth it to go into debt to look good. There are plenty of stores that offer selections that fit almost any budget—online shopping, outlets, and bargain basements to name a few. Just remember: a happy wallet equals a brilliant smile.
