As a dental office, even we know how tedious brushing, flossing, and overall dental maintenance can get. That’s why we want to share with you some of these fascinating new tech trends in the world of toothbrushes! You’ll be amazed how some of these innovative products can get your teeth clean than ever before — that is, if you are willing to spend a little extra money.
There’s something for everyone on this list, from those requiring traveling toothbrushes to a bristle-free brush due to sensitive gums. For the complete list, check out the article from Trendhunter.com. (Photos from Trendhunter)
1) The Self-Balancing Toothbrush
What’s not to like about the Dews balancing toothbrush? It stands up on its own, so you never have to worry about toothbrush covers or your toothbrush falling onto a dirty floor.
4) The Camera-Equipped Toothbrush
Called the Tooth Guardian, this fancy shmancy toothbrush comes equipped with a tiny camera on the back of the scrubber’s head so that you can get a close look at your teeth that you normally can’t get from the mirror. The Tooth Guardian system comes with “a pair of electric toothbrushes, the hi-tech wall-mounted mirror with a hidden screen, a lower ledge and a UV niche for sterilizing your dental utensils while charging with ultraviolet rays” (Trendhunter)
5) The Bamboo Toothbrush
These are pretty standard toothbrushes except they are made of wood instead of plastic. These are 100% biodegradable and sustainable, providing an eco-friendly brushing option. Also, they just look cool. The ones pictured above are called — wait for it — the Environmental Toothbrush.
6) The Bristle-Free Toothbrush
The new Philips Sonicare AirFloss is perfect for those with sensitive gums. Not only that, but the AirFloss will remove 99% more plaque than a regular toothbrush thanks to its ability to shoot water and air into hard-to-get corners at 45 mph!
7) Toy-Like Toothbrush Holders
The Grabit Robot by the startup company Trinkits is an adorable toy-like plastic toothbrush holder your kids will certainly enjoy. It’s versatile too in that the Grabit Robot can be used as a pen holder on one’s desk!
8) Paint-Chip Toothbrushes
The Pantone toothbrushes are your basic toothbrush but they come in a variety of bold paint colors. When you purchase them, you get a pack of five including yellow, green, blue, red, and black. The Pantone toothbrushes go to show that a simple design can be as effective as all those fancy new features we see on new toothbrushes.
9) Circular Spinning Toothbrush
The Kurun S-440 Rotary Toothbrush doesn’t even look normal toothbrush. The head of the toothbrush is in fact a small wheel made up of nylon yarn. Check out the video for yourself to decide if you think this toothbrush would clean better than a conventional one.
10) Disguised Travel Toothbrush
This snazzy looking travel toothbrush cleverly conceals the fact that it is a travel toothbrush all together. The Panasonic Doltz Pocket Sonic Toothbrush is not only tiny and appears to be a tube of mascara or lip stick — it still remains a battery-operated powerful toothbrush vibrating at 16,000 strokes per minute.
