{"id":1621,"date":"2014-01-07T22:56:37","date_gmt":"2014-01-07T22:56:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mikemalonedds.com\/blog1\/?p=1621"},"modified":"2019-08-06T20:26:10","modified_gmt":"2019-08-06T20:26:10","slug":"how-to-maintain-those-new-years-resolutions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.camelliadds.com\/blog1\/how-to-maintain-those-new-years-resolutions\/","title":{"rendered":"How To Maintain Those New Year\u2019s Resolutions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many of us made New Year\u2019s resolutions last week.\u00a0 Yet in past years, how many of us have actually worked at them for the duration of the entire year?\u00a0 Perhaps that isn\u2019t realistic.\u00a0 But would it be completely unreasonable to set a goal of maintaining our New Year\u2019s resolutions for at least six months?\u00a0 No, we don\u2019t think it\u2019s unreasonable either.\u00a0 In fact, we think it would be all the more rewarding to keep working towards those goals even as the weather turns from frigid to mild.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But how exactly does one go about keeping those resolutions on our minds as we return to our busy lives after the holidays?\u00a0 Here are some stellar tips for you that should work if applied properly &#8212; no matter if your resolution is to exercise more or cut out a bad habit.<\/p>\n<h3>1) \u00a0Do It With Someone Else<\/h3>\n<p>This tip is self-explanatory.\u00a0 One of the easiest ways to reach a goal is to work at it alongside a friend who shares the same resolution.\u00a0 This works especially well with fitness goals.\u00a0 It\u2019s easy to give up training for a marathon if nobody is watching you quit running because of the pain.\u00a0 Struggling is always easier with someone else, plus it will be fulfilling after the fact when you both remember how you supported and motivated each other during the tough times.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>2) \u00a0Be Accountable<\/h3>\n<p>While thinking up your resolutions is the first step, the work hasn\u2019t even begun.\u00a0 How do you ensure you follow through with working towards your goal?
